Chris and Christie | Wedding

Saturday, July 17, 2010

In high school, Christie and I were in symphonic, marching, pep and jazz band together. We also were on the bowling team (don't laugh!) as well as the same recreational soccer team with her sister too. Annnd, I went to my sophomore Homecoming with her older brother, John (who wasn't present on her wedding day unfortunately). So, you can imagine how excited I was when Christie emailed me and asked if I could photograph her big day!

I love Christie and Chris together. There was not a moment when I looked at Christie and she wasn't smiling- these two were so happy to be finally married and I loved witnessing that! They made it official at the Portland Oregon Temple, which is honestly one of the most breathtaking buildings I have ever seen. Look for yourself!

Also, I would like to thank my good friend Mandie Sodoma for coming along and second shooting for me. I know I speak for her as well as myself when I say that we were so blessed to be a part of this day! Thanks you two :)

Trinh + Hieu | Day After Pt. 3

Monday, January 18, 2010

I haven't had any recent portrait sessions to share but I haven't blogged these ones yet. However, I have posted a video of some of these images on my Youtube account. I had a lot of fun with these two and the other night, I actually went to see the Book of Eli with my brother and Chu Hieu. If you remember, their wedding was back in September, but I had two portrait sessions with them in August, linked back here and here.

Enjoy these because I sure do!

Trinh + Hieu | Wedding

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

So this blog post is totally long overdue and it just goes to show you how behind I am on editing. Today (yesterday) was so crazy. I spent 10+ hours in front of this very screen editing images. I definitely need a break, but yearbook deadlines are flashing in front of my face.

I'm going to be honest and say that I'm not sure if I'm cut out for the wedding photography business. Not yet anyway. Or maybe, I just need more experience. This is the third wedding I've done and yes, I am slowly getting better... but dang, weddings are hard. I think I might stick to portraits for awhile and just take on second shooting jobs....

Remember these two lovebirds? I wrote about them here and here. I might do a fourth post about them after this to show you a few more of their portraits on our engagement shoots, but I just wanted to post a few from their September 19th wedding (See? I told you I'm behind). If you check out my Facebook page, you'll be able to see a few more... but enjoy these. I apologize for the image quality- these are screen captures.

Cathy | Senior Portraits

Monday, September 21, 2009

Cathy and I have never actually set out a date to go out and take senior pictures for just her. Whenever we hang out out with the rest of the girls, I always bring my camera and I just happen to take gorgeous photos of her... but with her, it's kind of effortless. We really don't need to go out with just her and I and take photos. I did take some rep photos of her back in May when we were with the rest of the girls in the youth group. You can see some of those here.

This past weekend, I went down to Portland with the whole youth group to photograph a wedding. I have yet to post more of those photos but the Sunday after, we hung out in Portland and I happened to catch some beautiful pictures of her. Love it- she's the best.

Trinh + Hieu | Day After Pt. 2

Sunday, August 30, 2009

I took some portraits of this couple a few weeks ago. I headed down to Portland this weekend where they're from and took some more. They're fun to work with. :) Here are some teaser images- wish I could post some more but we're attempting to keep her gown a secret until their September wedding.
