Tim | SENIOR

Wednesday, September 22, 2010

Well, I'm back from Seattle and getting back on the work bandwagon. So much for a break. The past weekend didn't really help me de-stress at all. It was a nice break from the editing screen though. To get things started up again, here is Tim! I've had the privilege of photographing him before so it was great to meet up with him again for his senior portraits. I had a great time with Tim-- he was super easy to work with. At the end of the session his girlfriend, Alexis, showed up for a few frames. These two are adorable! Thanks for a fun session Tim :)

Bryce Class of '11 | Portraits

Friday, August 20, 2010

Bryce is an upcoming senior all the way from the grand state of Montana. He's here in Washington visiting his dad, who joined in for the last frame of his session. Also, meet their awesome dog, Buster. It was my first time photographing with a dog! Thanks for choosing me as your senior portrait photographer Bryce :)

Black Hills' HS Prom 2010 | Portraits

Saturday, May 22, 2010 | |

My Senior prom was such a fun experience and I had the absolute pleasure of photographing some of my old (and new!) friends a few weeks ago as they all headed off to their Junior/Senior prom! I photographed about 20 couples that day I think and it was a day full of back to back sessions. Insane! But oh so fun. These are just a few of my favorite frames... I took too many, but hey, there's nothing wrong with that!

I am so behind on blogging- expect a few more posts coming your way!

Andra | Senior Portraits

Friday, November 6, 2009

This is part two of Andra's senior session. I took her first session back in September. You can view those here. She really wanted to incorporate the beautiful fall weather and the leaves that came with into some of her senior portraits so we took these up at Tumwater Falls. There were several family portrait sessions going on and I was definitely intimidated by those huge bodies and lenses some of those photographers had... but! no matter, it's the photographer that makes the difference.

Andra and her mom, Mishelle!

Kristina | Senior Portraits

Wednesday, November 4, 2009

Two Saturday mornings ago, I picked up Kristina up on Tumwater Hill and we headed to the old Schmidt House/the Falls for some senior portraits! Back in September, I visited the high school and dropped off some things and Kristina was the office TA. She mentioned that she wanted her portraits done by me. It was kind of late in the game at that point, and I told myself she'd be my last Senior (but obviously not... ha, I have a hard time saying no). We had scheduled for an earlier appointment, but because she had her wisdom teeth taken out recently, we had to reschedule. We were blessed to have a beautiful Saturday. Praise Jesus! It started out overcast, which I was totally thankful for but then it totally brightened up when the sun came out in the latter part of our session. Awesome. It seems like October is the prime time for family portraits here in Washington. I saw so many family sessions going on when I was out that day.

I apologize for the delay in the previews of these! Enjoy Kristina :)

PS: This is my 100th blog post!

Lovin' this headshot
The purple was a fantastic choice- she's cute.
These last three frames were my favorites
The green is so rich. It's so neat how the lens blurred the area surrounding her head but it's sharper towards the edge of the portraits... Click on it to view larger- you'll see what I mean.

Megan | Senior Portraits

Monday, September 21, 2009

I met Megan last week while photographing Michelle's senior portraits. At the end of Michelle's session, Megan said she was interested in having hers taken by me as well so we met today at Tumwater Falls for her session. In turn, Michelle also came along so I took a few shots of them together. When it came to posing and everything, Megan was definitely a natural. She was totally comfortable in her own skin and did her thing. Can I just say that I love her hair? I wish my hair could have such beautiful waves! For real. Hope you love these! :)

I adore this shot.
